Hi there,

Sorry, but I can't see the notches on #2 so I vote for #1

Oren Grad
8-Nov-2005, 21:35
#1. (#2 is ambiguous by comparison.)

Arne Croell

John Hennessy

1 too

Donald Hutton
8-Nov-2005, 22:09
It's the old field camera vs. monorail thing.... definitely 1.

Craig Wactor
8-Nov-2005, 22:17
#1. the longer bellows read surprisingly well! The smaller lens makes it look like a bigger camera, too.

8-Nov-2005, 22:28
#1 : Stands out better dressed in red ;o)

Jorge Gasteazoro
8-Nov-2005, 22:47
#1 by a hair...

Emrehan Zeybekoglu
8-Nov-2005, 23:13
No 1 is better: It looks more like a camera. and the red adds character to it.

Paul Moshay
8-Nov-2005, 23:49
I like #1, it's more like what I see as a "camera".

Per Madsen
9-Nov-2005, 01:50
1 !

Jiri Vasina
9-Nov-2005, 03:13
I also prefer #1.

Brian Ellis
9-Nov-2005, 04:04
I'm having trouble figuring out which one has more movements. Also, which would be easier to repair? #1 has a red bellows so it's probably a Wisner, that might be a problem if the company doesn't get back on its feet. I don't think this should be decided by a vote anyhow. Just put them both on ebay, see which brings the highest price.

I prefer 2. 1 looks blurry on my screen.

Ken Lee
9-Nov-2005, 06:03
#1 - It's defintely a camera.

To a non-photographer, #2 could be some kind of abstraction, or a bull-horn pointing to the right.

Janko Belaj
9-Nov-2005, 06:30
no 1. looks cute, but I can't see no 2... force reload doesn't help.

9-Nov-2005, 06:32

Neal Wydra

1. I love red bellows. ;>)

9-Nov-2005, 06:57
They're both nice, but #1 is on the tripod, so looks more complete.

9-Nov-2005, 07:47
#1, even a bit blurry, and with red bellows. :-)

Tom Micklin
9-Nov-2005, 07:57
Number one

Erik Gould
9-Nov-2005, 08:09
#2 doesn't display at all for me on Safari.

Ralph Barker
9-Nov-2005, 08:10
#1 - I love red leather bellows. ;-)

Frank Doering
9-Nov-2005, 08:39
#2 for legibility; the first one is too hard to see.

9-Nov-2005, 08:49
#2 is better.

Bruce Schultz
9-Nov-2005, 08:53
I would like No. 1 better if the legs were proportional to the camera (longer), and if there were 3 legs for a tripod, not a bipod.

Andrey Donchev
9-Nov-2005, 08:54
I have to admit that #1 represent the idea of a large format camera better then mine!

9-Nov-2005, 09:06
#2 for me

Sal Santamaura
9-Nov-2005, 09:40
Number 1, but make the bellows black instead of red.

Graham Patterson
9-Nov-2005, 10:03
#1 is probably the most expressive, especially to an non-LF user.

Robert McClure
9-Nov-2005, 10:20
# 1

Number One has color and faces right. Color increases interest and, in this culture, toward "right" indicates movement in the "right" direction.

Add color to # 2 and reverse it. Then you'll have something, IMHO.

Alan Davenport
9-Nov-2005, 10:49
Number 2 is a crisper looking image. But it lacks a tripod, and besides it's pointed the wrong way. And color is good....

On balance, I vote for #1.

Steven Barall
9-Nov-2005, 10:52
# 1

Scott Fleming
9-Nov-2005, 10:57
Uno, but it needs to be black.

J. P. Mose
9-Nov-2005, 11:15
#1 is my choice.

David Karp

Number 1. Thanks.

#1 is my choice

Frank Petronio

Sorry, Number One is chessy and Number Two is blank. How about a greyscale zone system step?

Jason Greenberg Motamedi
9-Nov-2005, 13:02
I can't load number 2: I tried a few different browsers.

David G. Gagnon
9-Nov-2005, 14:03
Definitely No. 1

Ole Tjugen
9-Nov-2005, 14:29
1 - for the tripod and the classic brown body and bellows.

Graeme Hird
9-Nov-2005, 16:16
1 for all and all for 1

9-Nov-2005, 16:53
#1 -- though both well done.

John Kasaian
9-Nov-2005, 20:19
#1 I'm a sucker for red bellows. #2 looks as if its missing the back--- the same issue I had with the last 5x7 camera I bought on eBay!

OK Q.T. - Let's have it. Put that favicon bad boy up on the server...dude !

I vote for #1, provided that, however, we do not discrimate against us Tachi owners, who often have EE syndrome. This occurs when that photograph can be made only with 13+ inches extension. If your Tachi LFer has a severe grimace after emerging from under the blackcloth, he has Extension Envy. And Icon #1 shows a LOT of extension.

So, nothing's perfect; neither Icon #1 nor Tachis.

2. Its black and white.

With more than 40 votes for #1 (out of 50), including the designer of #2 "conceding", I have deployed #1. Congratulations to Warren Weckesser, and thanks again to all who contributed designs or votes.

If you don't see the icon, you probably need to clear the cache in your browser. Depending on the browser, the instructions vary.

Now's my chance to put in a plug for Camino, the Mozilla foundation's browser for Mac. It's superb, fast, and... free. Get it here (http://www.caminobrowser.org/" target="_blank)
