Lee Push on Filter Alternative?

I'm looking for a filter folder for some of the GNDs I bought from breakthrough. and quite frankly I really am disgusted at the idea of spending $170 on a hunk of plastic to hold $200 hunks of glass. I mean christ how are they charging that much?! I wanted to know if anyone here had alternative CHEAPER filter holder that will fit my 95mm thread lenses (one is a 150mm wide on 8x10) and will also accept adapter rings to use on my 450?

I, too, have the HiTech series with half a dozen filters. My biggest problem with that series has been trying to find adapter rings for oddball lenses, such as the old Ektars and Goerz lenses. I found an adapter on ebay that uses rubber bands, but it kind of sucks.

Fooling around in studio with a large diameter lens I have just taped sheets of Roscoe gels in front of the lens.

Not on the lens but above it so the gel didn't wrinkle.

Not that original as it seems many do something similar.

Any filter is delicate and best handled with extreme care.

And it is always best to use filters designed for shooting through, unless they are for some special effect, then using ones made for lighting!

High quality holder and rings. I use the holder attached to my Lee hood, for example. Rings available for 95mm thread (52-105, common sizes, at $25 per).

I ended up finding a used set with a 67mm W/A ring for about $120...not perfect but it'll do. I'll probably end up up selling and replacing my filters when breakthrough finally comes out with their 150mm filter holder where wide angle wont even matter at all. If I was smart I would have bought the 150mm filters right off the bat. but I'm 22 and am allowed to make mistakes with money.
