Hi all,
I have just both this lens of EBay but it seems that the shutter ring is quitte difficult to turn.
It need a lot of force to turn it, is there a easy way to fix this or should I send it back ?

I have paid 600€ for this lens.

Advice would be helpfull

Unscrew a few degrees the front cell, and try to turn the shutter speed ring. If it moves easily, probably the shim or shims between the front cell and the shutter are missing. Without shim, the front cell may compress the shutter speed ring.

It is also possible that the chrome ring around the throat of the lens has been tightened too much. Turn the screw (circled red in the photo) so that the ring can be loosened slightly and check the shutter speed ring.

Shutter speed ring should not need adjustment if all is well. It is possible there is mechanical damage or wear causing the excessive friction with the shutter speed ring.

Together with the possible optical problems, consider returning this lens to the eBay seller for a refund. Then look for another 300M that is better overall.
