Studio Tripod for 8x10

Hey guys,
Im searching for a studio tripod for my 8x10 camera.. which brands are good to buy? I only know the Linhof studiomatic, but they are hard to find and mostly expensive.
What is important for me is that i could bring the 8x10 camera into a "low height" position and that is sturdy. Wheels would be also great, but not a must.

Atm i use a Manfrotto 028 art and with the head and the 8x10 its too height for some compositions.

I have a spare Arkay, but most likely won't sell it as it is worthless here.

A studio stand is best. I use a single column, wheeled, counter sprung unit that goes to floor level and high enough to require a ladder. Brand is not as important as finding a bargain because new they are priced on the dark side of the moon. Mine cost me $35 at a studio auction.

Dang! Mine cost $45.00! I overpaid. Of course it is a nice Cambo. Wound up spending three times that to get the accessories I wanted.

I use a big old Bogen tripod. It doesn't have a model number on it but I think it's a 3050. It has a head, also unmarked with a 4" square QR plate on it. Together it weighs north of 40 lbs. I was lucky and found a dolly for it locally for $25. It can hold anything I want to put on it, and with the dolly, it can be moved very easily.

With heavy cameras, assisted height adjustment is very useful, which is why studio stands are so great, as the column is counterweighted. But if you don't have the space, or can't find a good one, a Gitzo Series 5 Systemic with a Cremaillere column works well.

When I had studio space, used a Linhof Heavy Duty tripod with geared center post, 90 degree "Downtilt Head RZO" (Bob, I think that's what the part is called), another horizontal geared center post, another 90 Degree adapter, and then finally a Linhof De Luxe Professional Pan Head III. The horizontal geared post was counterweighted, just in case, to prevent the camera end from tilting over. Not as nice as a dedicated studio stand but already had all the parts to put it together and it just worked.
