I have two nikkor lenses (150 and 300mm) for my 8x10 and im trying to get a filter system that will fit on them no issues. Ive read that the Lee push on filter is my best bet but I've also seen that its not that sturdy. I'm also worried about any vignetting. Anyone with these lenses or other lenses with a 95mm thread have any experience in this? I leave for a trip in august and on top of a polarizer I'm definitely going to need a good set of hard and soft filters to use.

Get the lee screw in rings, wide angle variety(especially for the 150 on 8x10).

The 150 might require the larger size filters, bigger than the 4x6 ones.

The actual Lee filters have been well and truely bettered lately.

Both Nisi and Breakthrough filters outperform them in terms of colour casting and sharpness, especially in terms of ND/Grads.

Breakthrough’s magnetic connector is quite innovative and appears easy to use.

I consider them a bit like Nokia - good initial innovators who didn’t keep up with the market.

I've looked into Breathrough's filters and if what they say is half true then its better to get those for the same price and a lee resin filter and get a good piece of nano coated SCHOTT glass.

Lee’s maximum size filter ring attachment for their standard system is 95mm. I find it works fine for all my big lenses.

does it work well with any of your wide angles?
