I am considering purchasing a Fujinon 150mm lens. Does anyone know how to tell whether it is single coated or multi-coated?
Thanks
Jerry

Specular reflections from my single coated Fuji lenses have a pale gold hue. Reflections off the multicoated ones have a more pronounced green/magenta/blue cast.

Lettering on the inside of the W Series, usually single-coated, outside lettering on the W Series, multiple coatings.

Lots of info here: http://www.subclub.org/fujinon/ This source tells you which versions are single- versus multi-coated. Vaughn's advice about where the lettering is matches what's in these sources.

You can also find the Fujinon lens catalogues on the 'net in PDF. I presume the person who put the above site together was drawing on those for the technical info.

Id, add... here there is a table that may help:

http://www.thalmann.com/largeformat/fujinon.htm See also the Coating section to see the reflections.

Here there is a case not covered in that table:

In some versions EBC (eletron beam coating, http://www.thalmann.com/largeformat/ebc.htm) lettering says it's multicoated, like in this case:
