I'm interested about a Schneider 120mm f8, and found one with Prontor professional 01S Shutter.

I'm not familiar with this shutter. Are there major differences with Copal 0 and would it work with a Copal 0 lens board?

The Prontor Professional 01 and 1 require a 1 size hole.

The shutter is very different then a Copal or Compur.

1 it is self cocking
2 it has less internal vibration then any other mechanical shutter
3 it accepts both aperture and shutter controls so they can be set from behind the camera. The Compur only had aperture sticks for some versions of the shutter (Prontor Werke owned Compur)
4 it accepts a remote control that sets the shutter wide open for focus, to taking aperture for DOF preview, closes the shutter for firing at taking aperture, accepts a long cable release to fire the shutter.
5 it has disengagable click stops for aperture setting

However it does not have a press focus. To view with the shutter open there are two cable release sockets, the lower one can use a locking cable release to function as a T setting.

From Bob's description it sounds great.

And here is the youtube. https://youtu.be/yebODeJQfuc
