Hi

Does anyone have a source for Kodak Portra 160 in 4x5 sheets? Ive had it on order from B&H for a couple of weeks and every other source that I've checked seems out of stock. If anyone knows where it is in stock, please let me know!

Thanks

Freestyle indicates that it's out of stock until early May. Try contacting Pro Photo Connection in Irvine, CA. They stock quite a bit of film and may have some in the fridge.

Back to looking for more portra 160. Badger has 3-4 week wait and Ive had it on backorder from B&H for over a month. Kind of concerning...

There are many dealers out there beyond B&H, Adorama, Freestyle and Badger. On a quick search I see Samy's, Hunt's and Film Photography Project showing it in stock.

Thanks Oren. Samy' s only had one box left and Hunt's wants $60 for a box! I did go ahead and order from the Film Photography Project, so thank you!

order from the Film Photography Project

Film Photography Project $34

Sadly in the EU cost is 2x, Fotoimpex and macodirect $74 (66.5€), other shops at similar price. Difficult to understand it...

Nice. I talked to BH and they have no word on when it will ship. I asked if it was being discontinued and the guy got a bit snippy and said we wouldn't be selling it if it was.

It's degree show time, that's where it's all going - a couple of years ago, it was 120 C-41 that couldn't be had for love nor money at this time of year until manufacturers realised that demand was rising. I'd suggest it's probably LF's turn for a resurgence.

Portra is popular. When stockpiles tend to thin out at a particular dealer, then those who depend on a specific film tend to rapidly buy out what's left. So, if you can afford it, you just have to play the same game, and buy as much as you need for awhile when it's back in stock, and freeze it.

Glazers, FotoCare, Central, Webb Co, Ace, Orlando Photo & Hobby, Pitman, Robi’s, Ft Worth Camera, PPR, there are a lot of stores still out there that sell film,

The local camera store has some 4x5; so does my freezer. And a personal freezer is indeed the best way to balance out the cycle of supply and demand.

As soon as I can I am going to start stocking up on butt loads of film, 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10. The larger two in black and white only.

Is Kodak doing this on purpose? so we all go out and buy lots Portra film on the rebound and hoard when the film is available again. Haha!

In the Netherlands there are several shops that have that film in stock. Never had a problem before.
