Any one on the Toronto Ontario area might consider dropping into the Stephan Bulger Gallery to see early 20th century photography by Minna Keene & Violet Keene Perinchief.

Minna Keene was a Fellow to the Royal Photographic Society and a Linked Ring member. Violet managed an Eatons studio and her own in Oakville.

I really like 'Window Dressing' by Violet Keene.

Some others other show Mortenson influence, which direction is not obvious.

Regarding influence, you might say the other way around as Minna was a generation earlier than Mortensen. Even Violet's work has a lot of Karsh in it but she predated him a bit as well. I expect what we credit certain photographers with was just that they did what was current, well.
