View Full Version : Monocular viewer for Wista 45N?

Hi,

I recently purchased a Fotodiox folding monocular viewfinder for my Wista 45VX. As it turns out, the camera is actually not a VX. It is a 45N model, which has different hinges on the back and won't fit the viewfinder I purchased. To make matters worse, the manufacturer doesn't support the 45N model (only the VS, RF, and SP). So, I'm wondering—does anyone know of a viewfinder that specifically fits this model, or is there a way to swap the Graflok back for one that will accept the viewfinder I already have? I don't like shooting with a dark cloth, so I'm hoping there's a solution.

Thanks

In the long run, would it make the most sense to put your 45 N up for sale and buy a VX?

I've edited the title for clarity, as I think many will interpret "Wista viewfinder" as an optical finder that you slip into the accessory shoe.

Please show some photos of:
a. the camera's front standard
b. the back and top
c. the back with the hood flipped down

I can help you determine what exactly you might need.

Hi,

Here a few shots of the camera. You can see how the pins on the viewer aren't long enough to snap into place....

The viewer you have is for the later model backs. For example, it will fit the VX. The one I listed here will work:
