I need to mount an 80mm Super Symmar on a recessed board to use on my MT 2000. Am I correct that the proper board is a Linhof 001015? This thing costs—gulp—$627.50 at B&H. Are there any less expensive options that will work without my having to perform gymnastics to use, or should I just get the real thing?

Thanks!

That’s correct, the 001015 Comfort board. Look at the Linhof site to see how it works!

Thanks Bob, I was afraid I was right. Will this lens and board combination also work on a Technikardan?

Richard, you might try Linhof & Studio in England for this: https://www.linhofstudio.com
Their price is £265 which today is about $342, versus B&H's $627.50. You will also have to pay shipping (which would be free with B&H) and probably a currency conversion fee to your credit card company. I strongly suspect you will get it quicker than the 2-4 weeks B&H indicates. My experience is that Linhof & Studio has in stock Linhof items they show on their website and and I've generally gotten them in less than a week.

If you inquire you'll probably hear back quickly from a very nice woman named Paula. Bear in mind that right now it's about 8:20pm there when it's 12:20 here on the west coast.

Thanks again Bob!

Just call and ask Central Camera for a price.
