Have been using my EPSON V750 PRO for several years now and have successively been able to keep the top of its glass clean and free from scratches. BUT.. the underside of the glass has collected quite a few fine dust particles. Not sure if they even matter all that much, since they are out of the plane of focus, but they have to effect the scans to some (be it possibly) minor degree. Backlighting of the scanner really shows them up, maybe even visually overly emphasizing them? Sure would like to remove the glass and clean it. Has anyone ever done this?
Found a detailed exploded view of the V750 at:

but no directions or observations...

Here is link to a scan of my V850 scan glass using the hi-res lens. This will cause a major headache for you. Need to get an anti-static blower and clean the inside of your scanner and glass.
