Hi everyone, I have a Manfrotto 400 head to use it on a column stand with my combo 4x5. I have yo buy the plate and I have found the plate in 3 different heights:low , medium and high. Does anybody know which is the best for may purpose? and why are 3 different heighs?

The quick release plates measure 13, 23, or 42mm tall and are designed to be selected based on the minimum height needed for the attached camera or accessory not to interfere with the ability to move the rear control knob while its crank handle is deployed.
