An German family business and their liquid glass nano protective coating invention inspired me. They mix alcohol and silica nanopowder and spray on surface and it creates a glass surface when alcohol evaporates.

Nanopowders and their surface plasmon colors are well documented and easy to access with google. Shape of the powders and size of the powders creates different colors at church glasses.

Lets mix various powders in a canister and add alcohol and spray on to a surface. And lets use the surface as our autochrome filter.
After alcohol evaporates , surface must be coated with lacquer because surface can be scratched

That coating can be applied to 35mm film also and enlarging it or enlarging larger films can be funny and result would be very colorful.

If you make contact print , it might be perfect.
