Do any body have any information about age ?

Look more closely. The LF home page list is for Goerz American lenses, not for the parent company in Germany. The two firms' serial number sequences are independent of each other.

Sorry, no, and Pont's book Les Chiffres Cles (e with accent aigu) seems to be out of print.

A month or so ago it looked like the French retailer fnac had this but I had too much other stuff going on at the time to pursue figuring out how as an American non-francophone (that's probably redundant) I could buy from them. This post reminded me to revisit the project. But, alas, stock is "épuisé".

Hello all, can anyone help me identify the lens - 811576, 6 inch f6.8 CP Goerz AM. OPT. CO Dagor with a copper rim which I think is the gold rimmed type, but I am unsure. Many thanks

It's a 6" Golden Dagor, single coated, covers 5x7 stopped down. What did you need to know? L
