I found a box of 5x7 Rogers Dry Plates at a yard sale that were unopened. I couldn't resist getting them.

Any idea of how old they might be based on the dry plate market?

I am guessing that dry plates were still being sold into the 20's and 30's, but that is a guess.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

OP, I would think those are from the 1920's, pre depression.

Here's a thread about new and old dry plates and how to shoot and process both.

I too am thinking 1920s because of the colors and the graphics.

Photographers for the AP and Black Star were using 4x5 glass plates for newspaper work in the late 1920's. I have a few that were given to me some years ago; I was very surprised to find that news guys weren't using sheet film by then. Best of luck with your find!

Hi Mark, I have two unopened boxes and 1 opened box. This is going to be a lot of fun...
