View Full Version : Graflex Curtain Replacement
Too Many Cameras

My Anniversary Graphic has pinholes throughout the curtain and is seriously in need of a replacement. I think this repair is beyond me, however. Does anyone know of any repair shops that are still replacing AG curtains? I'm in the U.S.
Thank you!

Frank Rubio works on Graphics. Not sure whether he replaces curtains at this point, but you can ask:

I repaired mine with plastidip. I had to apply it on the cloth side, as the plastidip wouldn’t stay adhered to the rubber side.
Before I applied the plastidip, I soaked it in Lemon Pledge for a couple of hours and then wiped it off to soften up the rubber and fabric. I may have done that two or three times. I don’t remember. Then I let it dry a couple of days so the plastidip would stick. Then I took it into a dark room with a flashlight pointed through the lens board hole, and plugged the pin holes, one at a time, letting the plastidip dry before cocking the shutter to the next setting.
All in all, it took probably two weeks. The good news is the repairs have lasted several years now. I tried the same procedure on the bellows, but they’re made of a different material, and those repairs didn’t last, so I had to replace the bellows.
I used Tenacious Tape to repair a big hole in mine. I wouldn't replace the whole curtain with that, but I did a pretty big single patch of about 4"
