Do you use or know the Metalmaster 4x5" film holder made by Hoffman Camera corporation In Farmingdale NY ? Those have no end flaps.

I ended up with a couple of these when nothing else was available. The film is loaded from the other side. It has been at least 10 years since I’ve done it, so I won’t guarantee my memory is correct on this, but I believe there was a little post you pulled out that made an opening to put the film in. Then the holder snugged up on the sheet when you pushed it back in.

Maybe you will love them, and I don’t mean to discourage you, but I came to hate them. They are heavy compared with wood or plastic holders. They are slow to load. I did eventually just trash and I have never regretted that decision. If you can still buy Riteways in good used shape for very little expense, why bother with these?
