Hi there!

I am looking for a paper that emulates the look and feel of traditional ilford FB classic glossy paper. I thought I found the holy grail with ilford mono silk, but unfortunately just found out it is discontinued.

Does anyone out there have a go to paper for their digital printing workflow that emulates the feel and look of this traditional darkroom paper?

Thank you!

Hahnemuhle Silk Baryta is a good paper to mimic Ilford FB gloss.

Try Canson Platine Fibre Rag. As with any paper the printer and profile you are using make a huge difference in your results.

I am another fan of the Canson Platine Fibre Rag, excellent paper.

I like the (lack of) surface texture of Canson Baryta Photographique.

Canson Platine comes closest, IMO. I tested a dozen samples before coming to this conclusion. It was a clear winner.

If you like Canson Baryta Photographique try using Arista-II Baryta Photo Inkjet Paper from Freestyle. You can use it exactly as you would use the Canson paper with Canson's profiles. It is less expensive and equivalent.
