hello,

I am currently working on scanning my negatives and producing laser color proof prints. The final prints would be done at a later time; these prints are solely for review. There will be quite a lot of them. I need a way to store them and I am thinking of a version of a Hollinger box, but much slimmer, or like a film box without the inner liner. They don't need to be archival. I need boxes for 8 1/2 by 11 paper by only about 3/4" thick. I tried Hollinger but the slimmest they can make is 1 1/2" thick. Does anyone know of such a box or a company that might make them?Thank you.

Perhaps mailing cartons/boxes might be suitable? There is a large company ULINE who are online they may have something?

Michael Johnston at The Online Photographer had a recent post on this topic.

I print silver gelatin and use photo paper boxes (with archival interleaving on either side of the print stack) for storing extra prints. Does your printing paper come in similar boxes? If so, you could just use those.

Best,

Not boxes, but USPS provides thick envelopes for documents perhaps for free.
