Hey Jack, what makes me think you've got too much time on your hands? Don't you think you are overdoing the message bit? Why don't you get out and TAKE some pictures rather than sit at your computer talking everything but them? This IS the Large Format forum, not a daily chit-chat. Just my 2 ¢.

Andrew O'Neill, still here in Vancouver, BC (ore there abouts). Lots of time on my hands as all my stuff was stolen...as most of you know. Finding things missing almost daily and it's been 3 weeks since the incident. Today I discovered my Ilford EM10 analyzer, ilford printing filters, and 10 litre mixing pail were taken too. So, glad they didn't touch my negatives!!

Robert McClure--Ulysses S. and his wife are buried in sight of my apartment, actually. My office is just a couple of blocks away, but there are a two tall buildings blocking the view (the Riverside Church, which you see to the left of Grant's Tomb, and the building behind it), and besides, my office is on the wrong side of the building. This view is from March 2005.

Ron from Chicago. 90 deg both Sat and Sun . Too hot for a darkcloth.

I helped a neighbor sell at The The Chicago Photographic Collector Society annual show. Fewer and fewer customers every year. Either digital is taking over or photography is dying.

I couldn`t sell a nearly mint Calumet cc400 with 20" rail . One person looked at it.

I bought a 35/70 4.0 Leica zoom. Good for when I can`t carry a Zone 6.

North Central Massachusetts USA, small town in northern Worcester county. We got our first traffic
signal a few years ago, though it took some months for the locals to understand it....

...a few years ago a resident of my town found himself in a traffic jam caused by a herd of
dairy cows which had escaped their pen and were standing around in the road. He called the
local police to report the problem, and was floored by their first question:

"Are they Guernseys or Holsteins?"

I started the last roll call, but never did post a summary. Maybe we can have a summary from this one.

The grass is always greener on the other side, until you get on the other side of the fence.

In my case you can judge for yourself, as you check in on the roll call from so many great photogenic locations around the world.

I am in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, 8 hours north of New Orleans, 2 hours south of St. Louis, right smack in the middle of earthquake country and tornado country, right on the Mississippi river, 30 minutes northwest of Cairo, Illinois, in the hometown of Rush Limbaugh.
This is not a commentary, just trying to locate things a bit more descriptive than some posters.

Remember, if Kodak wants to force digitial down our throats, we can still make glass plates!

But not shooting much lately due to not enough time, no darkroom, and two teenage girls. Right now I'm trying to schedual some time with a couple who are midway into having a baby. We're shooting the entire pregnancy as art. Going to make them a nice handbound book of the experience. This will be our third shoot. I'll find a way to post some of the images.
