Bummer, since I just got an 8x10 camera I was planning on buying one of his washers...I have a 4x5 washer and love it.

I also just got an 8x10 and was looking for one of his washers and also a contact print frame myself.

I met him 2 years ago, and he is a really nice fellow.

His products were excellent. Sad though that they are no longer available.

BH still lists 4x5 film washer as “in stock.”

Has anyone asked Alistair if he'd be willing to donate, post, or sell his drawings so that someone could continue the business. I have neither the space or tools to do this myself, but there must be somebody out there who does.

I do have the space, and tools are just money. however I don't have enough time to keep up to the demand.

Even if someone has everything required their attention to detail would have to be impeccable. Alistairs washers are almost as beautiful as some of our cameras.
