Hi,

I've seen some photographers who store their ulf processed negs in old film boxes. I'm guessing the cardboard they're made from isn't acid free, but in addition, will having negatives in contact w one another cause further problems? Thanks

My negatives are filed in individual sleeves; actually not sleeves because the Mylar is open on 3 sides enabling the negative to be laid in, not slid in.
SOme may end up in film boxes, but I try to keep them all in archival boxes. They aren't expensive and may save a valued negative.

At one point Ilford did a survey about this with a view, I think, to having the boxes archival.

Do you know if they ended-up deciding to make their boxes archival?

No, never heard a word about it since.
