I want to mount a cold shoe onto the top of my Horseman 4x5 LE monorail. The top of the front standard is already factory drilled and tapped.

I want to mount this cold shoe that has M2.5 screw thread:

See middle hole, top of front standard.

Ze cold shoe.

Will it fit the existing threaded hole on my 45LE?

It will fit. If you make it fit.

Buy a pitch gauge.

It’s bigger than M4 - I checked with a screw from Home Depot. Sorry I don’t have a gauge.

For those who follow, the threaded hole on front standard of Horseman LE 4x5 camera is as follows:

M5-.8 x 10mm (metric size x thread count x length — the latter may vary based in your accessory but I could sink the 10mm length to full depth).

If you live in the states, you can get these at Home Depot in the parts drawer cabinet in hardware section.
