There's another one for sale on ebay right now for just $12,000 - but this one has a shutter!

If you could hook-up a camera back to, film or digital, and mount it on a drive this would be good setup for astrophotography

What a shutter !

Well, $12000 is the starting bid...

For digital it would be better a regular telescope. But we can imagine it with a huge glass plate and over reinforced tracking gear...

Wow, I sold two or three of the very long Apo Nikkor process lenses many years ago for a very small fraction of that.

Hmmm ... I bought one less than 6 months ago for a lot less than that and two were sold in 2017 around the $5k mark

What the auction site says it sold for is not always what it sold for imho ... but data is data ... the lower cost one never sold ...
