Disfarmer's work, to my mind, is absolutely amazing. You really have to look at some of the right stuff. It's completely insane - in a very subtle kind of way. He was arbus and joel peter witkin all rolled into one - before either of them existed.
i see much more worth in disfarmer's work than in avedon's.
but i've made that perfectly clear before...
