8x10 sheet film with D-76 in Jobo 3005 tank

Anybody developing Tri-X 8x10 sheet film (TXP) with D-76 in the Jobo 3005 tank ? Kodak recommends almost 1 liter of 1:1 working solution per sheet (80 sq in), but the maximum capacity of the drum is 1500 ml, so I don't think I can follow Kodak's recommendation for 5 sheets (The 3005 can develop up to 5 sheets at once). I am looking for time recommendations to develop 5 sheets of 8x10 in 1500 ml of D-76 1:1 or full strength. By the way, I exposed the film at E.I. 160, and I use the CPA-2 Jobo processor, usualy at 70 deg F (21 deg C) or thereabout.

It says you can process 80 sq in in 473ml (16 oz) in D76 1:1. My rule of thumb is to use 50ml stock per 4x5 sheet (I don't use 8x10), so use 1 liter of 1:1 for 10 4x5's in a 3010 drum. So that's 200ml stock D76 per 8x10 sheet, or 400ml 1:1 per sheet (close to Kodak).

Max capacity for CPA/CPP processors is 1 liter per Jobo (http://www.jobo-usa.com/instructions/instructions_misc_tank_and_drum_capacities.htm) (see the note next to the 3005 drum), some of the bigger ATL processors have a 1500 ml capacity. Don't overload or you'll be replacing your motor regularly.

Thanks Tom. I will go with 200ml stock per 8x10 sheet, for a total of 1000ml for 5 sheets. Works out well, given the 1L limit on the CPA-2 motor.

I go with the kodak recommendation of 473ml for 1:1. You can get away with a little less if you are not trying to get N+1 development - 200ml of stock would probably be OK, but at 1:1 either way you are only going to get 2 sheets of 8x10.

I develop TXP for 8:30 with 1:1 and rotation speed 4 @ 70 deg EI 200 5 min pre-wash

I have also got good results with XTOL which only requires 200ml of 1:1 per 8x10 sheet so you can do 5 at a time.
