Very popular as moving vans you could hire in Belgium as well. We moved my brothers several times with one of those. Never one with a canvas back however. Sadly the few remaining are being butcherd into food trucks.

Unless it has something spinning around out front, and has fabric covered wings, you're not really flying.

We were always wishing for a ride... later we both became pilots.
The sound of round engines overhead still makes our eyes look to the sky above.

Oh, okay. Did you take any pictures? I did with my 6x7. After the eclipse, I headed back to Eugene. I-5 and Hwy 99 were backed up for miles. The only part of my eclipse plan that worked well was the egress. I just took all the back roads back while, it seems, everybody stayed on the main highways.

Flash back to the introduction of the 747-400 in 1989. NW Airlines was the launch customer for Boeing's new 747-400. And this plane was among the first block to be delivered to them.

For Boeing, the introduction of the 747-400 was hell. They had bitten off more than they could chew on a 3-day rate. Hardly any two planes were configured the same interior-wise and it was a constant learning curve for much of the final assembly areas that were plagued with build and design errors. Planes were going out final assembly uncompleted and they were packed out on the tarmac anywhere there was room. And for each day the plane was late for delivery, the more of a contractual discount the customer got off the plane's sticker price.

This is on a travel tripod. The 90mm on the GX617 is a comfy enough fit for me on that size. This place has a low picket fenced area for spectators. It gets this close.

For years I've driven the back roads around the area that I live in East Tennessee. I carry a camera almost all the time and have found some interesting subjects. The first two trains were in the yard of an old gentleman in the neighboring county. He lived in a very modest home, almost a shack, but owned two full size locomotives and several steam tractors. he's put down track around several acres of woods and yard and occasionally would fire up his engines and take kids in the neighborhood for a ride. Good guy! He also had a water tower and a Nash metropolitan with rail wheels on it that he ran around on the rails. Unfortunately he's gone and the trains were sold.

Shot in the mid 70's with a Rollei MX-EVS2

The 3rd images was from another train I found in North carolina. The neg was severely under exposed but I printed on Agfa Brovira #6 which gave a cool image. Can't remember the camera but it was a 35mm. May have been my Nikon F with 50mm.

If you drive west from my hometown of about 2000 people, in a mile or two you'll pass this old Caterpillar snow plow. I'll have a few more, but this one is done first. Unfortunately, the owners painted it since this photo was taken, and it's not as interesting looking. This was done with 35mm Technical Pan developed in C41 developer. The photo is from the early 1990s.

That's an interesting combo I've never seen before.

It was recommended in one of the photo magazines. I bought just C41 developer, i.e. no blix, and developed the film in my Jobo. It worked fine, although some other options might've given a bit more film speed.

This naval vessel (Chilean I believe) was a causality of a war between Chile and Argentina. It lies abandoned in a fjord north of Puerto Natales in Chile. It comes up on you fast in the narrow fjord and although I was on deck of the Navimag ferry with the camera ready I was preoccupied with the shoreline and didn't notice it until it was too late for what I had considered to be the best view and was left with this view from the stern. Thanks. Yeah, I hear that plus the cars at the old location were packed tightly together. So I just did quarter panel kind of shots for the whole roll. This 58' Impala shot shows how packed in the cars were.

These are some of my fathers images from WWII. I remember him saying he shot with a Russian copy of a Leica and a 6x9cm folding plate camera that he used glass plates in. The attached images were shot in Belgium, France and England between 1942 and 1945. The film is a nitrate based film and have no idea the brand.

The photo in the original post, with the classic Citroen type H , is really amazing. This is the case when we can say, oldie but goldie! I have never seen one in real life, but my dad said that it was one of the favorite utility trucks he has ever seen in real life. After the second world war he actually stayed in France, and his only "car" was this onld citroen. Recently, he was thinking about importing such a truck, however there are so many things that he actually forgot about it. He actually had to read some info about it on http://www.cararac.com, as in there you might find a hell a lot of really useful information regarding any car.

1965 Mercedes 230SL Bought this about 25 years ago in Morro Bay, CA when I was dating a girl from Pismo Beach. Been wanting one of these ever since I was a teenager and just happened to stumble upon this one while spending the day in Morro Bay. Surprisingly, I'm just the second owner of this classic. Its been restored to "driver" status...can't see the point in doing a concourse-quality restoration and never get to actually enjoy the car (well, at least that's just me, for what its worth). Runs like a charm and tons of fun just cruising around, top down of course. But it may be time to let it go and let someone else get some enjoyment from a great little roadster. My fantasy car has always been the 300SL Gullwing, but those are so far out of reach for me money-wise I'd need Lotto money. But the 230SL was a nice substitute.

Bought this just as it was being sent to purgatory. In storage 20 years where I parked my truck. Love at first sight.
Paid $100, put $500 into it for paint and misc. Never a top, if it rained hard I put a cover on it and I stood in the rain. No rust ever.

Drove it for 10 Years, then sold for $2500 and saw it for years in repair shops

Way too small these days, the first 1/4 mile we drove after paint a maniac nearly squashed us both

Then magic, I always found Rock Star parking at clubs, she ran well for me.

Here are my 3 favorite vehicles

The white Honda scooter was stolen...sad

The Honda 550 was a money maker, bought for $400 1986, sold for $1600 after years of my abuse. It was really designed well. I dropped it on ice several times, no damage, a pickup truck backed over it, broke one turn signal. I caught the the drunk and made him pay on the spot. All stock, shifted at redline all the time, shifted like butter with no clutch!

Nobody wanted that van, it was smoking like crazy. Needed a $5 rubber diaphragm...

It also fit a 10' Arkay sink inside with doors closed.

Also sold for a good profit

all parked in front of my LAST EVER CONDO, but again a good profit

I don't miss driving/riding at all

A4 - Sir Nigel Gresley - approaching Highley Station doing a token swap.
Spring 2022 Steam Gala, Severn Valley Railway - UK

Tokens are the method used to ensure only one train at a time can enter a section of single track.
The signal box operator (standing track side in the photo) must release a token to allow a train to enter a particular section of the track - and then no other tokens can be released for that section of the track until the previously released token has been clocked back in.
