View Full Version : Help identifying lens panel
I bought a 210/5.6 Rodenstock Sironar-N Lens recently with a Copal #1 shutter. It had a circular lens panel attached that is 106mm in diameter and 12mm thick. The shutter opening is centered in the panel. I have attached pictures below. Can anyone identify what type of camera this would be used for?

It is probably not a lens board but appears to simplify mounting to any lens board.

I can only think of the Voigtlander 1950's Studio camera (for 13x18cm) as a modern camera which has a round lens board. The board fills out most of the front standard, so it would match up with a 13x13cm square bellows.

Toho cameras use round lens boards, but I don't know the exact size.

Looks like part of a Sinar board... for taking a Sinar DB board and making it into a board for a shuttered lens.

Jim - It looks like you identified it. Thanks for your help. I thought it might be a Toho board as well, but the dimensions are different.
Now that it's been identified, if anyone out there could use it let me know because I don't have any use for it.

JimL, I have a Sinar DBM board, and the round portion of the board is only 3~4mm thick, and is 100mm in diameter.

FYI--I have a single Toho lensboard. It is ~88mm in diameter. This one has a 35mm hole. Don't remember where I got it, but it sits in a drawer waiting for a camera and lens.
Strike that! That wasn't the Toho lensboard. The Toho lensboard I have is ~99mm in diameter with a 48mm hole. Still waiting for a camera and lens, although I think I have a lens that came with this board, but is now mounted in Lenhof-type board.

FWIW, the diameter of the front part of the board in my picture is 106mm.
