I just received a D2 aristo cold light. I have a two cords. One is a two prong and the other one is a three prong. Which one goes to the timer? and the other one goes to a regular ac plug?
Also any technique on how to warm up the lanp?
Thanks in advance for your resonses.

The two prong goes to the timer. Not sure about the warm up period though.

So the three prong goes to a regular ac outlet. Right?
Thanks

yes, I recently bought a d2 and checked aristo's website. It is my understanding that the three prong goes to an outlet and the two prong goes to the timer. I am not sure about the heater though, maybe someone else could clarify this.

Chis,
Thank you for the info. I just pluged in and I am still alive.
Thanks

Put one in the wall. If the head lights up, it goes to the timer. If not, wait 15 min to properly heat and and start printing.

The three-prong is the heater. I usually turn the head on with the focus switch while I set up trays, etc to get the head warmed up. A compensating timer like the Zone VI or Metrolux makes this unnecessary -- in theory -- but I do it anyway.

I have an older D2: mine takes a good half hour to warm up enough that exposures are reasonably consistant. Confused the heck out of me at first, until I figured out what was going on. Good luck!
