Yes, I agree with it being a copy camera.


Back in the late '60s, we used one like this when I was a photographer for the Akron (Ohio) Beacon-Journal. We would use 4x5" B&W sheet film to copy photographs, drawings, paintings, etc. to use for articles or obituaries. Later we would process the film in deep tanks containing D-76R.
(Why we didn't use a 35mm Nikon F with a macro lens is beyond me now.)

A lightweight copy camera - which is very like the Century Studio cameras, which were continued by Folmer (Kodak).

Not many movements possible (Camera and Stand) but very usuable for portrait lenses (heavy) and subjects who can move around a bit.

I think the first photo show another camera and some very useful backs/plate holders.
