Look up Chicago Albumen Works. They were the last maker of PoP; I believe that they have stopped producing it, but they may be of some help.

Yes, and the best deal is from https://www.teachersource.com where 3 packs (120 sheets total) of 7x5" is about $40, while B&H is more than twice as expensive. Kids love making shadowgrams with it.

the maker was actually Kentmere in England...Ilford bought them and stopped making the paper afterwards

Kentmere was the last company to produce POP paper commercially but as soon as Ilford / Harmon took over the business they made a lot of staff redundant and declared that the process was a "Health & Safety" hazard. This is a well known EEC excuse to stop any process that takes a bit of effort. It might become available again when The United Kingdom is free again in 2019.

Wrong. POP leaves the coating machine covered in silver nitrate. Kentmere did their annual deep clean straight after it was coated. Harman clearly felt that exposure to 'free' silver nitrate in that quantity was not an acceptable risk for their cleaning or coating teams. There was never any mention of the EU having any bearing whatsoever. Not wanting to get your employees splattered with large amounts of silver nitrate is, I'd argue, just good business practice. That's not to say you cannot make POP industrially, just that doing it in a reasonably safe manner would probably involve an investment many times the size of its potential market.

I'm assuming the B+S albumen paper still needs to be coated with silver nitrate??..we should start a separate thread about this paper...who has used it?

you can make sun prints / faux POP prints regular photo paper, and
hand coated paper ( liquid emulsion )
most don't last and are ephemeral / have to be scanned.
once in a while hand coated ones last though, i have
some that have lasted about 6 years...

Recipe looks nice & simple - will need to give it a shot! Nothing quite like the look of toned POP. Been trying out a few ideas using BW transparencies enlarged on to Ortho+ to make printing-out process compatible negs. Good to see it works well with BFK Rives too - this opens up a number of interesting possibilities for making unique books without having to tip-in images.

Also interesting to note the high coating temperature, which I recall was one of the other reasons Harman decided not to coat POP - probably a pretty unpleasant work environment at industrial scale if you have to coat at that temperature.
