Does anyone know the measurements for the Wista adaptor ring sets (#4570 or #4569)? I can't find how much extra flange focal length it will provide.

I also can't find much info on the difference between the #4570 and #4569, other than that the #4569 is 'for linhoff'.

From the material I have, it basically shows two adapters -- one with the Wista board attached and the other being a simple extension/flange/tube for more extension. Then there are adapters on the front for different shutters. Pictures are at:

You can figure out the dimensions by measuring the photo.

I made my own for my 600mm Fujinon -- from a Wista board, a Beseler enlarger extension tube (2"), two small bolts and some black silicone sealant.

It seems to me that changing (adding/removing) these tubes would be a pain in "the field". For a long lens, just leave it on all the time. For close-up work, just switch to a shorter focal lens lens. Assuming that you could ever find a Wista "tube", it's got to be a LOT more expensive than my approach.

The difference is that one will not mount and lock on to a Technica and the other will.

The 4569 has a "double" mount. It can be installed on any camera accepting a Technika style lensboard. At the other end is a mount for a Linhof Technika style board, allowing direct mounting of any lens that is already mounted on a lens board.

The 4570 has a Technika style lens board for mounting on a compatible camera. It comes with 3 rings for mounting #0, #1 and #3 shuttered lenses.

Both have removable rings in the middle, for adjusting the length.

Thanks, Kumar. Do you by chance know the width of the rings? I'm wondering how much extra flange I can get with these.

They are slightly smaller than the opening in the camera, so I'd say a safe estimate would be 75~77mm outside diameter.

Excellent. And how about the length of the rings?

If you are looking for Wista/Linhof extensions, he's a guy who sells them -- and many other things.

I don't know the length of the extension rings that Rudy sells, but the Wista ones are ~28mm each.
