I was out doing some some photography last night because of the full moon and somehow lost one of the metal spikes along with its rubber foot on my Gitzo 1226 Mk2 tripod. I thought I found a reasonable replacement on B&H (a spike w/ rubber foot for monopods) but now it is saying that they are out of stock. I went to the Gitzo website to look for spare parts and found it very confusing, I was able to find the part number but no where to order it. Does anyone have experience ordering spare parts for a Gitzo? What company did you do it through?

I know that B&H sells the spikes for the tripods, but it does not appear to come with the rubber foot.

Thanks

Go directly to the US distributor. Bogen Imaging

http://www.bogenimaging.us

Last year I was able to email Bogen's parts sales for Gitzo and buy replacement pads for my #5 low profile head. They were very good to deal with and I called them with my payment after I established they could sell me what I needed. I'll look for the name if I can?

Wow that sounds excellent Paul. I am glad that my $300 isn't going to have to have some funny looking 3rd foot.

Thanks
