I purchased this lens from the classifieds (thanks Pete). It came with a lens board (copal 1) with the lens hole slightly off centered towards the bottom. Is that the correct board for this camera? Seems to look ok from the gg.

Either the offset or the non offset board will work, you will just need to use some rise to compensate.

Do you have the extention rail that threads into the front standard? I doubt you can get 450mm without it. 450mm is really long and you will be hitting the limit of your bellows, no?

You need the Chamonix extension board to use a 450mm on the Chamonix 45. It's a bit hard to use in any breeze. I'd generally recommend a telephoto lens instead. Better as a lightweight 8x10

I have the rail... It won't focus without it. Thanks for the reply.

My Chamonix 45 bellows can probably go to 600mm if stretched - pretty amazing.
