I know last year, about this time, a similar question was asked and he was. However, I emailed Cemil a week ago tomorrow on purchasing a Model 2 for my Omega D5 (still shown on the website as available). I had also asked him to let me know if he was not making them. Have not heard back either way.

Know not to expect an immediate answer, but this seemed long enough I thought I'd ask in case someone might know.

Just out of curiosity, have you asked Denver Pro Photo if they might have one in stock? Or Englewood Camera or S&S Optika?

Bob,
Hadn't occurred to me. My impression was that Cemil had been pretty much running a direct B to C business, even back in 2014 when I bought my 1A. Don't know that he ever had B to B. But will check just in case.
Thanks, Jim

I exchanged emails with him since the first of the year. I'm hoping to get a unit for a D2 so I can print roll film.

Hi All,
Just got an answer to my subject question in an email from Cemil:

"Sorry to respond so late. Currently manufacture of the Model 2 is on hold. All my enlarger lamps have been labors of love and not money makers. With the other issues going on in my life right now I cannot commit to building one in a timely fashion. I will update the website to reflect this. I’m sorry I cannot provide you with what you need but I am glad your Model 1a is still functioning.

I will still be providing service for existing lamp houses and I have a few Model 1a’s in stock for sale.

Again, I’m sorry I cannot accommodate you at this time.

Cemil Purut"

Too bad. The product was very high quality and reasonably priced - perhaps too much so. And he really put his heart into it. Even though it sounds like he's up to "here" in life issues he still took the time to respond.

Hopefully, at some time in the future, he will be able to get back into the business. Robert, I don't know the situation with regard to your Model 2. He may be filling his existing orders but just not accepting new. :(

Regards, Jim
