Does anyone know when the new Velvia 100 will be available? My supply of film is running low.

Given the way Fuji USA works my guess is that it will not be available in the US until all remaining stocks of Velvia 50 are out of their warehouse. Discounting postage, the price quoted above is not a lot higher than Badger now charges for Velvia 50 ($23 v. $28). Postage, of course,i sa biggie. Availability does seem to be limited at the moment though. Robert White has it (at a very high price). Nord in Germany does not list it, nor for that matter do they list Velvia 50 anymore.

The Hollywood lab that develops my film said they expect it in July.

That's looks to be the existing Japanese version, not the new version in question.

I received a sample box of 4x5 Velvia 100 from the Fuji folks at the conference in Springfield a couple weeks ago. They told me it would be available in US retail outlets in July - which is exactly what they've been saying ever since the original press release.

For those looking for 8x10 Velvia 50, Hunts Photo has some in stock in 10 sheet boxes.

Another very important question- when will RVP 50 stop being available? I need to stock up!

Brian,

Regarding RVP 50, I've been told once it's gone, it's GONE. I'm hopeful I'll like the new Velvia 100, but just in case, I have a few hundred sheets of 4x10 and several boxes of 4x5 RVP 50 Quickloads in the freezer. I should probably buy a little more while I can still get it, but that would mean also buying a bigger freezer.

If you're looking for 8x10 Velvia 50 to slice down to 4x10, give the folks at Hunts a call. They left a message on my machine last week letting me know they had 8x10 Velvia 50 in stock. I had asked them about it at the LF conference, but ended up getting some from my local dealer.

Call Calumet in San Francisco at (415)633-9275. I spoke with William there on friday and he ordered 10 boxes of RVP 8x10 for me and told me that he had 35 more boxes in their warehouse.
