Had a friend from France there yesterday. He says they have seriously cracked down on tripod use, ( basically, no tripods on the cathedral tour.). You can't walk around outside the walls without a guide. The cloister is being refurbished, plus still working on the new bridge which replaced the causeway. Sounds like the guide service is going to pick up considerably.
