I have a schneider apo 100mm f5.6 and a Nikon 200M f8 that I use on an ebony23S. Anyone know if they have a chance of covering wista VX 4X5 I am thinking of buying?

The image circle of the 100mm f5.6 is 145mm so it will not cover 4x5 inch, which has a diagonal 155mm. Also, a larger image circle than 155mm is needed for movements. The Nikon 200mm F8.0 has an image circle of 210mm so it will cover 4x5 with ample movements for field use.

That's interesting, I have a 100mm Rodenstock Sironar N that's listed as having the same angle of coverage (72 degrees) as the Apo-Symmar 100 and yet its image circle is listed as 151mm. Schneider and Rodenstock are not using the same trigonometry somehow. Anyway, I use the Sironar N on 4x5 with no movements and like the results, so I would try the Apo-Symmar and see how it does.
