Linhof Technika III back for film holders / need help to find it /

hi,

i want to buy linhof technika iii but the one in my area for sale comes only with 6x9 back, i could not find anywhere where i could get the back with focusing screen for regular 4x5 holders. can anyone help me where could i find it?

Your talking about two different sized cameras, There's the baby Linhofs with 6x9 backs and then the more usual 5x4 Linhofs and a few 1x18 (7x5) Linhofs.

no i mean it is linhof tech iii 5x4 that has 6x9 back made for 4x5 cameras(rollex i believe is the name) but it does not have the back that has ground glass, to use with regular sheet film.

I found two backs over a month period on eBay. The first Technika III I had did not have one, so I went looking, found a "junked " camera that had one, got that found the back good and everything but the bellows workable, and still looking found a complete back. The short story is, I ended up with two working Technika IIIs, for under 500 bucks. My wife thought I was a genius. So if the III with a 6/9 back is good, get it and start looking.
