Hi!
I have a question about SINAR EXPOLUX SHUTTER. I found that this shutter has the wider aperture: f4
Will it affect on my Aero ektar-1, 178mm lens if I want to use f2.5 aperture on the lens? Why somebody has posted information that I will lose the f2,5 aperture value on the lens and it will not be possible to get an aperture wider than f4? It is big proble. Because only f2.5 has beautifull bokeh...

I might be totally wrong about this but seems to me that if the lens is set at f/2.5, the open aperture of the Sinar Expolux shutter behind the Aero Ektar can only reduce the covering power of the lens but not effect the image's f/2.5 Bokeh. Very interesting post...

Correct!

Sinar shutter aperture settings only work with Sinar DB mounted lenses. So basically the aperture setting on your Sinar shutter is irrelevant for your Aero Ektar (unless someone mounted the elements in a true Sinar DB mount).

All you have to do is to set your f stop manually , assuming the lens sits in the expound shutter aperture it should work perfectly.
