Ellis Island photographs

As I have the book which show these photographs in their original colouring.

These colourized images are interesting although I am on the fence about the appropriateness. I hope the illustrators have done their homework with regards to colours.

I'd find them just as interesting without the colours added.

Color does make them a bit more present (timeless) and accessible. I dont get lost in "look how old these are!" - rather I say "what strange characters"
