The $277 is kickstarter "reward" price; it is expected that production pricing will be higher.

I wonder if inversion is necessary? How about vibration, or eccentric rotation? Wouldn't either one serve just as well to mix fluids?

The SP-445 is such an inspired minimalist design that it seems a shame to attach it to an expensive rube goldberg device for agitation. My hand works marvelously well for inversion.

I have developed e-6 in the SP-445. From what i have read it seems that this was in part to target me due to long processing times. I have to agree one of the big draws as others a have said is the minimalist approach of the sp-445. As long as my temps are correct the time doesn't warrant a 277 dollar attachment. now give me somthin that turns the 445 into an auto processor then i will bite.

seems an attachment to fit it onto a jobo would be possible... but then why not just use the jobo.
