While I'm busy promoting myself (see Point Reyes book thread), I may as well mention that I've redone my website. It's not all large format photography, but it is all film photography, and I plan on updating it fairly often to try and keep things interesting.

This is the way, step inside...

Loved the image of the abandoned farmhouse, you just don't see that kind of building over here (Ireland) wooden houses tend not to last long in our drizzly climate, nice, clean website- well done

The image of US61 (aka "Airline Highway" where I'm from) brings back many memories: http://www.msbluestrail.org/films

Austin,

Fine new site and great work, as usual. You know I'm a big fan of yours.

Just one detail that's a bit disconcerting for me: the title and forward/back links impinge on the lower right corner of all the images in my browser (Firefox). I'm so composition and balance oriented that the missing bit of image leave me guessing. Is this intentional (to prevent downloading of complete images) or just a quirk of my browser?

Anyway, fabulous work! I'll visit often.

Best,

Doremus

Thank you Mono, Ken, Bob, Dimento, Peter D., Thomas, Peter L., Dennis, Dick, Armin, Atul, and Doremus for the kind words. I appreciate them very much.

Doremus, I believe that is a quirk of your browser. On the screens I've looked at, the titles are nowhere near the images and the images are all full frame. It bugs me that you are seeing it that way, but I'm not sure if it's fixable. That sort of thing drives me crazy, not knowing exactly what everyone else is seeing. I try not to think about it too much... :-)

Hi Austin,

I though that might be the case. However, since a lot of us use Firefox, it might be worth finding a fix for. Love your work.

Here's a screenshot to show you what I see.

I can't get the page to come up! I use Firefox if that matters.

Thanks Doremus. I can see why that would be a little distracting; it looks like a giant bite has been taken out of my pictures. I used a standard template using Squarespace. Maybe I should bring it to their attention.

Sorry about that docw. I'm certainly no computer expert, but it's working for me. (?)

Austin, the photo you posted was just too much of a tease - I wanted more! So I tried another browser. Superb stuff. I am at a loss for words. I love your work and I congratulate you on the new website.

If you know any tekkies, you might ask why there seem to be problems with Firefox. It would be a shame if someone could not see this beautiful work because of some annoying technical glitch.
