Rodenstock 35mm Eurygon in Polaroid Prontor shutter image circle size

Does anyone know if this lens/ shutter , when mounted on a 4" lensboard, will provide a image circle large enough, to cover 4x5" film? Also, does anyone what was it's original purpose? Loydp

The 35/4 Eurygon is a macro lens made for the Polaroid MP-3 system. It is useless for shooting 4x5 at normal distances. It was made to be used at magnifications from 2:1 to 10:1. Polaroid claims it will cover 4x5 at those magnifications.
