A while back I was looking for a changing tent, and stumbled across what I remember was a kind of folding portable darkroom, It had a gray plastic shell, and packed up kind of like a suitcase/folding table. I want to think that it was a fujifilm product, but all my google fu hasn't helped there...

Maybe one of the wise sages here remembers what this was....

Thanks in advance, ad

Do you mean this? http://geb.ebay.com/ImportHubViewItem?itemid=161643403991

Funny I Googled the words 'Fuji' 'Film' 'changing' 'tent' and that was #one of the 1st to pop up.

What would anyone think of using this to make a wet plate darkroom?

There is this (https://borutpeterlin.wordpress.com/2016/01/03/topshitest-dark-box-in-the-world/) dark-box example which I have seen. It is a rigid box, but you can make a light-tight folding version by missing a couple of sides and covering it in a double bag of the 'light-proof' curtain backing material - fold down the sides and it would then be much smaller. Anyone with a commercial sewing-machine could make that cover for you. Finding a cheap or secondhand suitcase, to use as a base, could even make it as transportable as the expensive commercial example in the link?

I am not too sure the Fuji dark box would work , I use them all the time and for film they are perfect, but for wet plate I am not convinced you will have the height to get the plate out of the silver tank. there are better options, the one below is a good example,

I have a large tent/bag which is 3' L x 2' x 1.5' H x 1.5' W and it's pretty large. I think it is a Fujimoto and was a part of a 1 Hour Photo Lab system. But I had no idea there was anything larger.

I have one of the fuji-tents and it might work for you-it droops a bit in the middle but that could easily remedied with a clothes pin and some string. I have always thought it would cool to have a tent that would also double as a darkroom when camping. I saw this on tv the other day:

https://www.decathlon.de/wurfzelt-freshblack-2-pers-id_8357352.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=8357352&origin=pla&gclid=Cj0KEQjwr5G5BRD_n-T0pf7x4ucBEiQAlxHOP-EeBNn39K0lx3VUE-3qmwELHh6fNf4CYAasOWidnVQaAn6t8P8HAQ

Sorry that it's in German, but it says "through the patented "Fresh and Black" technology the tent stays pitch-black even during the day"
I am somewhat skeptical whether it is indeed "pitch-black" but if so that would be perfect!
