Hopefully a simple question about shutters

I need to find out the thread and pitch of the front thread on the Copal shutters. Of the sites I have visited there is agreement that the Copal #0 is 29.5mm x .5, and the #1 is 40mm x .75. But I see the #3 as sometimes listed as 56mm x .75 and also 58mm x .75. Since I do not have a #3, I can't determine it myself. Were there two different sizes made, or is one of these just wrong?

There are 2 different copal 3, at some point they started marking them as #3 and #3s to denote the smaller size - however, for decades, #3 shutter meant one thing, and there is no way to know what lens is what size without actually measuring it.

OK, that straightens it out for me. I assume that the #3s is the more contemporary version and that there is no marking on either to determine if it is a #3 or a #3s. Correct?

modern ones are marked 3 or 3s.
older ones are marked 3 only, and can be either size.
