Saw this on petapixel today: http://petapixel.com/2016/02/23/crowd-photographers-looks-like-firefall-yosemite/

Any thoughts on what the setup here is? Looks like a Linhof but what is that lens?

I asked the same question in a thread in the Lounge :)

Looks like a Copal 3 at least.

It's probably a 240mm f5.6 plasmat type, definitely a Copal 3 shutter. I have a Schneider Symmar-S 240mm lens that resembles it. The bellows draw looks too short to be for a 300mm lens.

While we're at it, what is that boxy thing apparently in the accessory shoe?

It's not in the accessory shoe, it is under the GG - it's a Horseman exposure meter. I have one and it's quite a nice little device. Other than using old mercury batteries.

MT3000, with that extra knob in the front corner?

The marking on the rim of the front cell does look to be in Schneider's style, with the shape matching a two line inscription of "LENS MADE IN GERMANY" above the serial number.

Looks a lot like a 300/5.6 plasmat, maybe an APO Symmar. The front element looks too large for a 240. Camera looks to be an MT 3000.

Wow, and all this time I thought Firefall was a special event where they built a huge bonfire at the top and pushed it over the edge.

judging from the space between the front of the lens
and the shutter ... it looks like this same lens

I wasn't wrong about it... from 1872 to 1969 in the summer, at 9 o'clock they would push a campfire over the edge of Glacier Point...

What about the 2 MF looking cameras to the right? A Hasselblad right and a? 2 Hasselblads?

The MF cameras look like a Rolleiflex HY6 and a Hasselblad.
