A guy sitting on a giant petzval lens

Hi folks,

I remember seeing a picture of a guy sitting on a giant petzval mounted on a huge box camera that's sitting on the ground from the old days. Does anyone know where to find that? It is probably a French guy in the mid to late 19th century. Many thanks!

Wow! I have never seen this one before! I love it! Guys always love their things to be bigger than others, even a few hundred years back:) The one I am looking for is a guy really sitting on his lens, not in a chair. I even tried to mimic his posture by sitting on my lens as well a few years back, but I couldn't find it any where. I am looking for that for a lens exhibition in Shanghai. Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!

Yes, except that person should be long dead:) This is interesting! You never would really expect so many to really sit on a lens. There must be something to it:) I still hope find the picture I am looking for. It is a photo from the 19th century with a not so big guy sitting on a giant petzval with one side of his bud. A case of beer is offered for any one to post that picture here:)

Don't sit on it too long if it's radioactive glass. I think you guys all have petzval envy.

That may be a good thing for lots of guys wanting to be worry free:) If radioactivity proves to cause sterility, I may want to open a clinic some day just for guys to sit on for a few hours before they go out on a one night stand:)

Not sure who that is but I found the picture I was looking for. I knew I tried to copy that guy but the problem is that either my bum is larger or my lens smaller. Didn't quite work. Anyway, if anyone knows anything about the guy, please let me know. I think I may have found the lens he was sitting on. 147014
