A friend of mine do some full length portrait, mostly women nudes. Actually in 4x5 but he is doing a 8x10 theses days.
I downgrade my regular lenses and don't have anything very interesting, all I have to offer him is some enlarger and copy lenses. But I think he can get interesting results as he like also to use alternative processes of printing.
He pickup already my Rodagon 360mm 6.8 (this one (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?125388)) Is the lens will cover 8x10? Anyone use it for portrait?
I found also a 9" f5.6 Ilex Copy Paragon, a big 3"x3" straight barrel lens. Anyone have experience with that lens, will it cover 4x5? At least for portrait? I don't have the flange for that lens, 72mm is too small, look like 75, any insight for that flange?

It can be interesting to hear from someone who use theses types of lenses for shooting instead of enlarging.

Well that lens can enlarge 11x14 sheets of film so it should be able to cover 8x10 in theory, throw it on and check! :)

Officially Rodagon 360mm coverage is 24x30/10x12"

My feelings are that the Rodagon 360 will perform well on 8x10 at least for full length portrait. Is the 9" f5.6 Ilex Copy Paragon will cover also the 8x10 or only 5x7 and 4x5?
I will like to hear from users that tested one of theses 2 lenses or similar enlargers or copy lenses on camera.

Sorry, you're right, I'm thinking of the EL-Nikkor 360 which I think is for 11x14, (I just assumed all the modern optics had similar coverage, though that could also be 10x12 but I think the 300 is 10x12 with the EL-Nikkor line, either way at portrait distance it should cover fine.

Always listen to Ginette!

Good luck!
